Amidst the success of a new BET reality series and acclaimed album, singer-songwriter Keyshia Cole was part of a sexually explicit photo rumor which surfaced on the web.

In a recent interview with radio personality, Boy Loco (97.9 The Beat), discussed the controversial photo and her upcoming projects which includes a shoe line and new book.

Below are a few excerpts from the interview –

Her husband’s views on the scandalous picture:

“It’s so weird, so awkward. Daniel is more of my backbone like, ‘Yo its cool, don’t worry about that.’ [People] were really excited about that possibly being me. I was like really? [They were saying] ‘Yeah Daniel, you are married, and this is you’. It was hurtful, because I built my career quite doing the opposite. So it is painful to come so far and for someone to do that.”

On her new book (and possibly movie) that’s in the works:

“[A biography about Keyshia Cole – co-authored by David Ritz] Well, I have a show in Oakland on the 17th of this month that’s actually sold out and I invited Mr. Ritz down so he can come drive around Oakland with me and see where I’m from, see the blocks that I grew up on, and all of that kind of stuff.”
